You can turn off the game sound effects in the Settings section:

        Step 1: On the Home page, tap on the Settings/Cog button

        Step 2: Tap on the Speaker button to disable sound

Note: To mute the sound of ads, you need to put your phone on silent or turn down your device volume to 0.
